Dat bracht de serie naar een Game 7 in Oklahoma City, met de New York Knicks al wachtend in de Finals. Voor de Thunder stond een tweede opeenvolgende Finals-deelname op het spel, voor het laatst gelukt voor Golden State in 2019. Voor de Spurs de kans om te bewijzen dat hun jonge ploeg klaar is voor het hoogste niveau.
